Kathy drives AmiPRO’s product vision, ensuring features are intuitive and provide value to Wealth Management advisors, enabling their Digital Asset practice, from learning to liquidity. She focuses on customer experience and feature set, from Learning and News functions; to Portfolio and Reporting tools; to the trading of assets.
Her background includes Product Manager of Crystal Reports and Development Director at Electronic Arts, along with a variety of projects involving app development, technology management and data visualization. Kathy combines data analytics and design thinking to enable complex adaptive systems.
What attracted you to join AmiPRO’s team?
As technology creation and adoption accelerates, I’m interested in sorting out and building the tools that enable the transfer of wealth to the next generation.
Investor interest in the digital currency space is growing at a rapid pace. From what I can see, there is a surprising number of millennials interested in trading equity and Digital Assets. There is also a growing demand for diversifying investment portfolios to include Digital Assets by investors of all generations.
Wealth Management advisors are scrambling to find new ‘tools of the trade’ and connect with people who are knowledgeable about this asset class. What’s clear is that there isn’t a solution out there that provides abroad understanding of Blockchain and crypto from learning to liquidity in Canada.
This gap in the market has provided us with an opportunity to build the AmiPRO Digital Asset investing platform - a system that is in line with compliance and regulation – enabling Wealth Management firms to invest on behalf of their clients.
Why build a Digital Asset platform now?
Blockchain technology and Digital Assets are gaining institutional attention with the recent introduction of bitcoin and Ether ETFs in February 2021. These ETFs are making it more mainstream to invest in this asset class and diversify holdings to include Digital Assets and crypto currencies.
Wealth Management advisors are interested in learning how to navigate and leverage Digital Assets to benefit their clients. Their clients can do it themselves, but surveys show that they would prefer to go through their advisors.
AmiPRO enables Wealth Management advisors to be crypto current, and have the data they need at their fingertips to visualize their clients’ portfolios, making it possible to invest in a range of Digital Assets.
How will you determine which features to include in the AmiPRO software over time?
Our priority is building features that provide value to the Wealth Management advisors. Last month, we announced the addition of AmiPRO’s Digital Asset Shelf which is key to the evolution of the digital financial ecosystem. This shelf provides advisors with exposure to emerging and alternative investments from around the globe to support the growing demand for tokenized real estate along with strong interest in tokenized investment models.
We’ve also integrated AmiPRO with Gemini’s exchange and custody technology creating the first and only fully compliant platform in Canada empowering advisors to directly hold Digital Assets in the investment portfolios of their clients.
Future product features will be driven by our customers that will soon be trading on the AmiPRO platform.
What does your background bring to the development of AmiPRO?
I’ve led the delivery of technology powered products from Business Intelligence to Video Games. I understand how product features, that are informed by the Customer journey and User Experience (UX), are key to building engaging and intuitive software.
Wealth Management firms are data driven. In response, we’ve built AmiPRO’s dashboard to empower investment advisors by providing relevant, visual data -– including key performance metrics and essential progress data to inform which action is to be taken next.
What is your vision for the AmiPRO DigitalAsset investing software?
As the pace of technology adoption continues to accelerate, AmiPRO will enable Wealth Management firms in Canada to conduct business in Digital Assets in a compliant manner. AmiPRO will take care of connecting custody and liquidity of Digital Assets.
AmiPRO makes Digital Asset investment data consumable through data visualization and easily accessible content. As the market moves beyond bitcoin and Ether, to products that have not yet been created or tokenized, theAmiPRO platform will seamlessly manage the essential tasks for the investment advisor.
We built AmiPRO to set the pace for Digital Asset investing platforms. AmiPRO will enable and inform Wealth Management practices so they can easily invest in Digital Assets.
